Maisberger analyses the German cleantech market

Protecting natural resources and the ecological balance is currently one of the key issues on the agendas of social and political decision-makers around the globe. The most important challenge in this respect is to sustainably protect natural resources while safeguarding and raising standards of living the world over. The key to achieving this is technologies that deploy procedures, products and systems that have lower emissions and use fewer resources. The term ’cleantech’ has become the established umbrella term for this sector of industry, which is growing worldwide at lightning speed.

Not only is Germany a leading global supplier of technology but, along with Japan and the US, it is one of the three main markets for the global cleantech industry. Maisberger is going to analyse the market in an effort to highlight the current status of the sector and identify future growth factors. Through its study entitled Cleantech growth paths, Maisberger is mapping the maturity and competitiveness of the individual market segments and the basic conditions that German cleantech companies need to address.

As a communications consultant for high-tech companies and service providers, Maisberger brings in its expertise on issues like corporate social responsibility, opening up new markets and ecological sustainability.

Maisberger has a wealth of know-how in this sector which it deploys in the Cleantech growth paths study to record the opinions of decision-makers from companies in the solar power, wind energy, geothermal, hydroelectric, biomass and energy storage sectors. The study includes a representative survey conducted by phone complemented by in-depth interviews with selected companies and recognised experts in the industry. The report will probably be published in July 2008.
