Fuel cells

Fuel cells are electrochemical systems that can convert chemical energy directly into electricity and heat. The sources of energy are usually hydrogen or methanol, which react with oxygen. These cells are used mainly in industry, transport and mobile devices. This innovative technology is still in its infancy but several products from German companies are about to enter volume production.
